Publishing rules

Wasit Journal of Legal Sciences is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal issued by the College of Law, University of Wasit. It focuses on unpublished academic research.

Publishing Conditions
The journal publishes original academic research in the field of law, written in Arabic or English, provided that the research has not been previously published or submitted for publication in another journal. The researcher undertakes to do so and not to submit it for publication to another entity until an appropriate decision is made.
The research must not be part of a published book.
The research, or parts thereof, may not be published elsewhere after its publication in the Wasit Journal of Legal Sciences without written permission from the editor-in-chief.
The author must agree to transfer all copyright to the journal. If the journal wishes to republish the research, it must obtain written permission from the author.
The author must be informed of the sources supporting his research.
The original research received by the journal will not be returned, whether published or not.
Adherence to the following publishing guidelines: The title of the research must be included in both English and Arabic, as well as the abstract in both Arabic and English. The researcher's information and email address must be included in both Arabic and English, and keywords must be included in both English and Arabic.
The list of sources must be included in both Arabic and English.
The reference to the source in the text must be as follows: (Author's last name, year of publication, and page number cited exclusively) according to APA style. The reference in the margin should be omitted.
We encourage you to quote research published in our journal, even if the quote is from one of your own research published in our journal or in the following journals (Wasit Journal for Humanities, College of Education for Humanities, and Al-Azizia). It is imperative to mention the (Doi) of the research cited when citing the source in the list of sources.

Requirements for Submitted Texts
The research paper should not exceed (20) pages of regular size (A4), and a fee of (2,000) two thousand dinars is charged for each additional page.
The research paper should contain: the title of the research paper in both Arabic and English, a one-page abstract in both Arabic and English of approximately (200) words per abstract, and include words indicating the precise specialization of the research in both languages, as well as a brief biography of the researcher(s).
The author's name and current address should be mentioned directly after the title of the research paper in both Arabic and English.
The research paper should be submitted in Times New Roman font size (14) for the text in the body. The paper should be typed on one side, with a space of five between lines.
The journal's policy requires (as much as possible) that the research paper consist of the following parts:
Introduction: This includes the theoretical framework of the research, with previous studies being part of it and integrated into the body of the introduction, i.e., without a separate title.
The problem of the study, its objectives, and its questions/hypotheses.
The importance of the study.
Study limitations (if any).
Definitions of terms.
Study procedures: These include:
Population and sample.
Study instrument.
Validity and reliability of the instrument.
Study instructions.
Study methodology.
Presentation of results.
Discussion of results.
Conclusions and recommendations.
Graphs and figures should be inserted into the text and numbered consecutively, with their names and explanatory notes written below them.
Tables should be inserted into the text and numbered consecutively, with their names written above them. Explanatory notes should be written below the table.
Footnotes should be 1.5 cm on all sides of the page. References within the text should be cited in the APA format. References should be listed alphabetically by last name and in accordance with the APA format at the end of the research. (The reference number should also be included in the text when using the source.)

Notes to the researcher:

The author should submit an electronic copy of the research written in Microsoft Word for Windows. The electronic copy is sufficient.
The researcher should attach a curriculum vitae, including their name in both Arabic and English, their current work title, their academic rank, and their most important research.
A letter of submission for the research.
A publication undertaking.
Publishing fees of 110,000 Iraqi dinars are required for researchers within Iraq and 100 US dollars for researchers outside Iraq, according to the following methods:
